The secret and quiet of her husband’s mind lay like a scolding finger all the rage. Her eyes were dim, for the light had been stifled from them.† (Pg. 63) She had at one time been a brilliant delightful lady however now she is smothered and has overlooked her magnificence. She is calm. Each time she talks it makes reference to the delicate tone or the quieted voice. This shows she is a delicate and rather hesitant lady.      Norma Jean begins having issues in her marriage with Leroy when he gets impaired in a truck mishap and is definitely not delicate and meek about it.. He has been out and about for a long time as a trucker. Presently he is home for acceptable and adjustment is important. He is supportive of settling down in the marriage yet he detects her distress. â€Å"Since he has been home, he has felt abnormally delicate about his significant other and liable over his long nonattendances.
